Chevrolet announced today at the Geneva Motor Show a new Corvette variant which will be the most track-ready of the newest generation.

The Corvette Grand Sport is a lightweight, normally-aspirated, and thoroughly tinkered-with model.

And you can get it with racing stripes.

It is meant to embody the highly-successful Corvette racing program currently tearing up international endurance events, kicking off the 2016 season with a 1-2 finish at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, a 24-hour race.

Also new and exclusive to the Corvette Grand Sport: the Z07 performance package, which offers carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Sport Cup 2 summer tires, and a carbon-fiber aero package "that delivers true downforce,” according to Chevy.

The car shares its 460 horsepower small-block V8 with the standard C7 'Vette.
