Hillary Clinton received a big bump following the Democratic National Convention, flipping the bump that Republican nominee Donald Trump earned following his convention, a poll released Sunday showed.

The Morning Consult poll found Clinton with a 43% to 40% advantage over Trump, a 7-point flip from the outlet's prior poll, which showed Trump with a 44% to 40% advantage following the completion of the Republican National Convention.

Trump received a 6-point bump in the Morning Consult poll following the RNC.

Clinton made big gains with both independent voters and with men, the poll showed. The Democratic nominee now leads Trump by 1-point among men, whereas Trump held an 8-point lead with men in last week's poll. The former secretary of state also picked up 4 points among independent voters.

The DNC also provided Clinton with a boost in her favorability, which made a 6-point jump from 37% to 43%. Trump's favorability fell from 42% to 39%.

Morning Consult polled 1,931 voters immediately after the DNC wrapped up early Friday morning through Saturday. The margin of error was 2 points.
