It takes what was already a pretty great operating system and improves everything from the Windows Store to new stylus features and the Cortana virtual digital assistant.  You should be getting the Anniversary Update today via the normal Windows Update process. Just wait for it to show up, if it hasn't already, click install, and you're good to go. Better handwriting recognition means that Windows can recognize when you're jotting a date, and offer to remind you about it. Windows Hello, which lets you log in to Windows 10 with your face, is also coming to the Microsoft Edge browser...so you can log in to certain supported websites just by looking at your camera.
