Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said (vis ESPN) the team is not ruling out Romo for the season opener in two weeks. However, others are reporting that Romo will miss a significant chunk of the regular season. A source for Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk says Romo is "expected" to miss 6-10 weeks, which would includ the first 4-8 weeks of the regular season. Ian Raport of the NFL Network reports that the "best-case scenario" is Romo will be back "by mid-season." The Cowboys have a bye in Week 7 this season.
