No school has more US Olympians than Stanford and it is not even close

When the Summer Olympics kick off in Rio later this week, no American college will be better represented than Stanford University.

Stanford will have 30 Olympians on Team USA alone, according to data collected by UCribs. That is more than the next two schools combined, Cal-Berkeley and Southern California, with 15 and 14 Olympic athletes respectively.

The state of California in general has produced an incredible number of Olympians. The three top schools are all in California and UCLA is tied for seventh with 11 Olympians on Team USA.
