  • High-tech fitness company Peloton has unveiled a new treadmill.
  • The Peloton Tread enables users to stream live fitness classes.
  • It costs $3,995 and will be shipped to customers this fall.

First, it went for SoulCycle — and now Peloton wants to take on every gym in America.

Peloton, the high-tech fitness company that was recently valued at about $1.25 billion after closing a $325 million financing round, has launched a new product: the Peloton Tread.

The treadmill, which launches in the fall of 2018, works in the same way as the company's core product, the indoor bike. It has an HD touchscreen that streams thousands of different live and on-demand classes so that users can join the class from home without the hassle of going to the gym.

The machine costs $3,995 (the bike costs $1,995), and customers are able to pay in installments. For current members, it's $110 a month for 39 months. New members pay $149 a month for 39 months. You can reserve the treadmill online now with a $250 deposit.

On top of this, customers pay $39 a month to stream classes. Avid Peloton users will be able to access both bike and treadmill classes for the same fee.

Classes on the treadmill will include a mix of high-intensity bootcamp classes, running drills, and strength and training mat work.

Peloton will be showing off the treadmill during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Check out the video of it in action here:
