 Electric car start-up NextEV showed off its first car last Monday — a stunning electric supercar that holds two speed records. NextEV didn't say whether the car will go up for sale during its unveiling, but Electrek reports that a limited production run will occur with the car priced at roughly $1 million. It beat the previous EV record held on the 20.8-kilometer (roughly 13-mile) "Green Hell" track in Nürburg, Germany at a time of 7 minutes and 5.12 seconds. It also holds the EV record at Circuit Paul Ricard in France at 1 minute and 52.78 seconds.
The start-up said the electric supercar can reach a top speed of 194 mph and accelerate to 100 kilometers-per-hour (or 62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds.
