  • 'Pokémon Go' will no longer work on older iPhones and iPads, says the game's developer.
  • The change is due to iOS 11, the newest version of Apple's iOS operating system.
  • You've got until February 28 if you're using an older iPhone or iPad.

Sorry, iPhone 5 owners who also love Pokémon: The popular mobile game 'Pokémon Go' is going to stop working on your phone as of February 28.

The game's developer, Niantic Labs, said the change is a measure of compatibility with Apple's newest mobile operating system, iOS 11. "This change is a result of improvements to Pokémon GO that push the application beyond the capabilities of the operating systems on such devices," Niantic said in a statement.

Wondering if your device is included in the purge? It might be! Here's a list of all the Apple devices that are capable of receiving iOS 11 — if your phone or tablet isn't listed, it's going to lose Pokémon Go on February 28:

Sorry, folks!

You can, of course, continue exactly where you left off in 'Pokémon Go' by logging in to your account on a newer iPhone or iPad.
