Welcome to another month of excitement and board gaming during this hot July! It's the perfect time to stay inside and play some board games!

This month wasn't too exciting as we've been in the process of cleaning up code to make updates easier for us in the future, and so far it's been smooth sailing. We should have a new update sometime next week.

If you'd like to keep track of our community posts, then follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

SALE

Tabletop Simulator is on sale to celebrate Steam's VR Weekend sale!

Tabletop Simulator is 50% off until Monday August 1st at 10am PST! It's a short sale, so if you've been thinking about getting TTS, now is your chance!

DLC NEWS

To add on to the Tiny Epic adventures, we'll be bringing in both Tiny Epic Defenders and Tiny Epic Western to our DLC family in the near future. The Tiny Epic games are created by Gamelyn Games.

We announced a few months back that Warfighter by Dan Verssen Games would be coming to TTS.  We had some delays come up with it, but it's now back on track, so you can expect to see it released in the upcoming months!

Stay tuned for more DLC announcements and updates in future issues of The Scoop, posted on our website, Facebook and Twitter. We have some other great companies we have partnered with that we will announce next month!

MONTH IN REVIEW

July was a slower month, so this overview just goes over the one update we had in the beginning of the month.

In Update v7.7, we released Wizard's Academy by 3DTotal Games and it's a beauty! Fully themed wizard room with some cool movement effects with the use of joints.

We added the new Under command, which allows you to place an object beneath another one without moving them. This is useful for stuff like putting cards under a mat or hiding an object beneath another one. This does not work for locked objects and it does not work for placing cards beneath a deck as you can already do that by pressing down with your right mouse button and sliding it under the deck.

We added a lot of improvements to VR including a transparent floor, being able to raise the floor higher than the table and enabled a lot of features that didn't work previously.

You can now toggle on/off tooltips per object in the contextual menu and added a chat icon button that can be clicked to bring up the chat without pressing enter.

COMMUNITY

ORIGINAL GAME:  Check out The Summoner on our Steam Workshop! This was created by radchadgooey as part of the Summer Solitaire Contest on Board Game Geek. It's a work in progress, so be sure to give your feedback.

The theme of The Summoner is built around Jack, a young and ambitious summoner that dreams to be Summoner Master one day. Throughout the course of his adventure, he has to complete various challenges and missions assigned by the Elders. As a summoner, he can fight and capture wild monsters by channelling mana in a special pattern. The unique gameplay of drawing mana pattern will make each game more and more interesting.

SCRIPTED MOD:

Scripting makes things come alive even more in Tabletop Simulator and the community has made some pretty neat stuff!

If you're looking for a way to automatically manage who joins your table, auto promote users. and allow yourself as the host to be AFK, then this is for you.

Table Join Guard was created by dzikakulka and is readily available on the Workshop. This allows you to no longer worry about who sits at your table while also promoting anyone let in. There is also a whitelist feature as well to easily make your friends join and also promoted if you want them to. Just read through all the notecards and get started!

You can also post it on our Sub-Reddit, Twitter and Facebook. While we can't respond to everything, we do read everything, so get posting and we might just feature your game!

Thanks for your continued support and hope you like our updates! Stay tuned for more DLCs, more great new features and lots of improvements.
