A giant 'hole' on the sun just fired a burst of wind past Earth traveling over 1.5 million mph by Kevin Reilly and Jessica Orwig on Mar 30, 2017, 12:07 PM On March 27, NOAA detected a coronal hole that wrapped nearly all the way around the sun.
