Great innovations and progress are coming for humanity, but so too are threats of unprecedented magnitude. Climate change. Cyber terror. Hunger. Though such terms frequently appear in discussions about the future, the reality of these problems is often lost on us. Unfortunately, scientists and economists agree that we cannot keep distancing ourselves forever. If left unchecked, many of these problems will become global catastrophes by the year 2050.
