FANTASY FOOTBALL QB POWER RANKINGS: Where all 32 starters stand entering Week 12 by Cork Gaines on Nov 25, 2015, 4:25 PM Advertisement
The NFL season is now 11 weeks old, and Carson Palmer and Jameis Winston are moving up, while Teddy Bridgewater and Mark Sanchez are not. Using one advanced stat and three metrics from fantasy football, we came up with a formula to rank all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks. The formula uses Football Outsiders' DYAR metric (looks at a quarterback's overall effectiveness), FanDuel's average fantasy points per game, the average fantasy points this week's opponent allows to opposing quarterback, and the percentage of teams that own each quarterback in ESPN's Fantasy Football game (think of this as a job-approval rating, an indication of how fans think of each quarterback's potential moving forward). Here is how the 32 starters are ranked heading into Week 12. 32. Nick Foles, St. Louis Rams Last week: 32 Team record: 4-6 DYAR rank: 32 Avg. fantasy points per game (rank): 30 ESPN Fantasy Owned: 3.9% One thing to know: After losing his job the week before, it looks like Foles will be back under center after Case Keenum suffered a concussion towards the end of their loss to the Ravens.
31. Mark Sanchez, Philadelphia Eagles Last week: NR Team record: 4-6 DYAR rank: 31 Avg. fantasy points per game (rank): 29 ESPN Fantasy Owned: 5.8% One thing to know: It is unclear if Sam Bradford is healthy enough to return to action yet, so the assumption is that Sanchez is still the starter.
30. Blaine Gabbert, San Francisco 49ers Last week: 31 Team record: 3-7 DYAR rank: 26 Avg. fantasy points per game (rank): 23 ESPN Fantasy Owned: 2.0% One thing to know: Gabbert's job was probably safe already, but any doubt was eliminated when Colin Kaepernick underwent surgery on his shoulder.
