The Future of Netflix: Making Entertainment for Robots?

Netflix has been the center of many TV viewers' worlds for the better part of the last decade. But 20 or 30 years from now, the streaming media giant could be making television for...robots?

That's the vision of CEO Reed Hastings, who gave his thoughts at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Monday.

"Over twenty to fifty years, you get into some serious debate over humans," Hastings said. "I don't know if you can really talk about entertaining at that point. I'm not sure if in twenty to fifty years we are going to be entertaining you, or entertaining A.I.s."

These remarks are consistent with Hastings' previous ones, as the CEO has said that in the next five to 15 years, we won't be able to tell if we're talking to a human or a robot.
