Harris County and the Greater Houston area in Texas, which is home to roughly 5 million people, took the brunt of the storm's record-breaking rainfall. So far only drones and airplanes have been able to perform photo surveys from above the storm's devastation, which claimed dozens of lives. On Thursday, however, companies like Deimos Imaging, UrtheCast, and DigitalGlobe — which operate satellites in orbit and sell the image data — released a fresh batch of before-and-after photos of Texas.
