What was new this week was that Kaepernick was joined by a teammate, safety Eric Reid. He was also joined by another player on another team. Of the 32 NFL teams, 30 were in action on Thursday night. Outside of the 49ers, almost all players continued to stand during the national anthems. The lone exception appears to be Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane who sat quietly on the bench during the anthem.
