 GE has plans to completely revolutionize travel with its latest GE9X engine. The largest engine ever built, the 20,000-pound turbojet engine will power the future Boeing 777X planes. Built from a mix of composite and 3-D printed materials, the engine is 10% more efficient than GE's past engines while also being substantially quieter. To give an impression of how powerful and efficient this engine is, Wired estimates that the GE9X would be able to suck all the air out of a space the size of Yankee Stadium in 13 minutes.
