Apple is about to finish the mile-long ring for its $5 billion 'spaceship' campus by Alexei Oreskovic on Apr 30, 2016, 1:00 PM Apple is making a lot of progress on the construction of its massive, $5 billion "spaceship" headquarters in Cupertino, California. The latest drone video shot by Matthew Roberts and posted on YouTube provides a fun birds-eye-view of how the new building and other parts of the campus are coming together. When Apple's Campus 2 is finished next year, it will house more than 13,000 employees over 18 acres, and it will include a massive fitness center as well as an underground auditorium. Among the latest highlights: - The final section of the circular spaceship building is being framed. That means the more-than-1-mile-long ring that will be the exterior of the spaceship is almost complete.
- A maze of tunnels are being laid down throughout the campus.
- The underground auditorium looks practically finished.
- The giant dirt pyramid is still very big.
