Faced with pressure to re-evaluate their technology investments, US healthcare executives are turning to AI to capture and process patient information and build automation around that data.
In a survey from Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), half of hospital or health system leaders indicated that their organization either had deployed automation technology or had driven positive results from automation investments and were expanding those types of capabilities.
While there is no widely agreed-upon definition of a smart hospital, healthcare executives are working toward their own visions of the hospital of the future. Digital solutions, such as AI, are helping today's health systems take important steps in their evolution into smart hospitals. Looking ahead, healthcare systems will have to make sure that their efforts not only support the future of healthcare delivery, but also provide services more efficiently and cost-effectively. | |
