It was forecasted that about 42% of US households would use smart home devices in 2021. By 2025, this percentage will grow to 48.4%. As improved device integration leads to more opportunities for users to create smart home ecosystems, consumers will feel more confident in their smart home choices.

The number of smart home device households will continue to increase over the next few years, with the growth rate declining as adoption increases. Over 60 million US households will use smart home devices by 2023, more than doubling 2018's count.
